I’m an Event and Floral Designer.
Growing up around wedding caterers, cake designers, and shroud makers, I was introduced to and surrounded by both creativity and celebration from early in life. Helping to set up cakes and cake stands at events gave me a hands on feel and this increased my zest, which in turn sparked my love for design and detail.Alongside a Master’s in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Literacy, I hold a Higher National Diploma in Fashion and Textile Design, with a minor in Art.
My artistic background blends naturally with my event styling, allowing me to create thoughtful, beautiful spaces. Our Process
As an all-event floral designer, we create stunning arrangements and backdrops for occasions from weddings and engagements to corporate events and funerals. Here’s our step-by-step process from consultation to execution
Consultation & Planning
We start by meeting with the client to understand their vision, theme, and preferences, discussing color schemes, flower choices, venue setup, and budget. Using our portfolio and inspiration boards, we explore ideas together, while noting any special requests such as flower allergies or meaningful blooms.
Budgeting & Proposal
We provide a clear cost breakdown covering flowers, materials, labor, and delivery, along with a detailed quote for items like bouquets, centerpieces, and arches. If needed, we suggest floral alternatives to meet budget goals before securing client approval and finalizing the contract with payment details.
Sourcing Flowers & Materials
We source flowers from local wholesalers or farms, prioritizing seasonal selections, and purchase all necessary supplies such as vases, floral foam, ribbons, and wires. Upon arrival, we inspect each bloom for quality and store them in optimal cool conditions to ensure freshness.
Designing & Arrangement Prep
Sample arrangements are created if needed for client approval, followed by prepping flowers through stem trimming, thorn removal, and bloom conditioning. Bouquets, centerpieces, and installations are then assembled, with each arrangement tested to ensure it holds up beautifully before transport.
Venue Setup & Installation
Flowers are transported to the venue with care, starting with the setup of large installations such as arches, backdrops, or hanging florals. Centerpieces, table arrangements, and aisle decorations are then placed, followed by final touch-ups to ensure freshness and perfect visual balance.
Event Day Management & Maintenance
Floral arrangements are monitored throughout the event, with wilting blooms refreshed by misting or replacing water as needed. Last-minute adjustments are made to suit venue conditions, ensuring every display stays vibrant and picture-perfect.
Post-Event Cleanup & Breakdown
Floral installations are carefully removed, with blooms recycled or repurposed where possible. Reusable materials like vases and stands are packed for future use, and any waste is disposed of responsibly or donated to extend the life of the flowers.
